Fertilization and Weed Control

Our 6-step fertilizing program is designed to enhance the health and appearance of your lawn while effectively controlling weeds. Each step focuses on providing essential nutrients and optimizing growth.

1. Apply Pre-Emergent with fertilizer: We apply the first round at the beginning of March. In the spring, we apply a Pre-Emergent herbicide to prevent weed seeds from germinating. Paired with fertilizer to promote grass growth at the beginning of the season. This is a crucial step for maintaining a weed-free lawn throughout the season.

2. Apply 2nd round of Pre-Emergent Weed Control: We apply a 2nd round of Pre-Emergent, without fertilizer, in April.

3. Apply Grub Control: We apply this in July. As the temperature gets hot and rainfall is low, we apply grub control to remove the pests that feed on grass roots.

4. Apply Fall Fertilizer: We apply this in September. We provide a second round of fertilization to support continued growth and bolster color. This step helps your lawn recover from summer stress and prepares it for the fall.

5. Apply 2nd Fall Fertilizer: We apply this in October, a final fertilizer application to strengthen roots and prepare your lawn for winter. We also provide a treatment for any late-season weeds to ensure a clean slate for the next growing season.

6. Apply Winterizer: We apply this at the end of November or beginning of December. The fertilizer is applied to help the lawn store nutrients in its roots, allowing it to survive harsh winter conditions and rapidly grow back green and healthy in the spring when the weather warms up.
